For our 29th wedding anniversary, Wil and I visited Seattle - a big city for us. We stayed at Worldmark, The Camlin, downtown on 9th and Pine.
The weather was beautiful. People were lounging about in the sun. Wil is posing as Waldo in this "Where's Waldo" photo.
Chihuly Garden and Glass was a brilliant display of color.
No trip to Seattle would be complete without a trip to the Space Needle.
What a view! In Seattle, there is city and nature. There is a mountain visible on the skyline to the right of Wil - Mt. Rainier, I believe.
Of course, we took in Pike Place Market. A tourist took this photo of us when she saw us fumbling around with Wil's phone trying to get a decent selfie with the sign in the frame.
We tried two different days to get a coffee for Wil at the original Starbucks, but the line was too long - winding out of the store and down the sidewalk.
No worries, though. The coffee was just as good at the Starbucks three blocks down the street, and the setting was more relaxed.
The highlight of our trip was a Seattle Seahawks game. It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. If I had to use one word to describe it, the word would be loud. Another phrase that described the entire area would be energy charged excitement. Seattle beat Denver in over time. It was very hot that day, as you can tell by my glowing face.
I thought this building next to the stadium looked like a Lego tower.
Out of the city and home over Snoqualmie Pass. Beautiful, but I had trouble finding a spot to stop on the freeway to get a good shot.
Happy anniversary,
and Go Hawks!
